Kids Camp is the perfect introduction to backpacking. We will take day trips Monday and Tuesday to hike, explore, play, and practice our skills on different trails around Sonoma and Marin County. This will give our younger group a chance to learn and build confidence, but also get to know our team, so they are comfortable setting off with us on Wednesday. On Wednesday morning we will embark on an overnight backpacking trip in Pt Reyes and return Thursday afternoon.
Our exact day trip destinations will be finalized 2-3 days beforehand and determined by the weather and other conditions, but we are lucky to live in one of the most beautiful areas on the planet with numerous parks and trails to choose from. Ideally, we will explore a variety of terrains such as redwoods, oak forests, and the coast.
Weather permitting we will have a bonfire on the beach on Wednesday night and on Thursday morning will explore the tide pool close to our campsite.

Drop off/Pick up will be at Bond Park in Petaluma (near the playground on Banff Way).

What’s included?
Day Trips: Snacks and lunch (kids will prepare)
Backpacking: Food, shared tent, specialty gear (like cooking supplies, water purifiers, etc), a low youth – guide ratio (4:1 max), all wrapped up in one epic adventure!
Not included – Personal Gear (backpack, sleeping bag, pad). We will help you choose the right gear to buy or rent.
Cost?
$560
**$100 deposit is due upon sign-up, 50% is due 60 days before trip date and balance is due 30 days before trip date. In case of cancellation: 60 days prior – deposit is fully refundable. 30 days prior – deposit is non-refundable*, other payments are refundable. 15 days prior – deposit and 50% of cost is non-refundable*. Exceptions will be made in case of positive Covid test or symptoms.
